Here's something you might try doing. Since you had a break, you know about where the card is located, give or take 10 cards. If it's in the center (as is normally the case), cut off several cards from the top, bringing the selection closer to the top. Try not to cut too close to your break, as you could accidentally cut their card to the bottom. What you want to do is bring their card as close to the top as possible, without cutting it to the bottom. Then go into "Whack Your Pack" by Paul Harris. If you cut correctly, you should not have to go more than 8 or 9 cards down. Now you have a piece of magic that is born out of necessity, and the spec will not be any wiser.

When I was looking for it a few weeks ago, I couldn't find it in the UK either.
