umm.... ID? :?

I haven't seen much of him, myself - so I can't comment on the quality of his performances. However, I find it a bit discouraging that more and more people seem interested in tearing down another performer, than applauding them for their efforts.

This current trend of trashing and dissecting is one of the most deplorable things I've seen in recent times. I'm not accusing you of doing this, Mikey - so don't jump the gun - but this kind of "innocent" thread is where it starts.

Instead of blustering about how we're better than this guy, or that guy uses camera tricks, or whatever your particular peeve is (you can usually spell that ENVY), why not applaud them for their work and remember that with each success and bit of public exposure - more opportunities arise for other workers out there?

if it came across that i was slating dynamo-i did not intend for it to come across that way. :) i believe that he has some nice effects in the bag. and others that need a bit of polishing up-for his well being-and possibly for the well being of the effect. if dynamo reads this i hope he takes it as a friendly piece of adivce-and not as me slagging him off.

Yeah. He was here on Saturday evening. I think he was mucking about waiting to go and do a promo for his DVD in Plymouth.

He's got a very nice pass.

As I said Mikey - I wasn't trying to single you out. Your post just brought those thoughts out of me, and it was at that moment that I decided to vent them. At no time was I trying to attack you with my comments.

Sometimes the mouth starts yapping away before I consider how it comes off. My apologies, sir.

I say jolly good luck to him.
Whether his style is to your taste or not, it's good to see a British magician out there doing it and getting recognition.
Anyone who rekindles a public interest in magic is good for all of us and his presentation which is aimed at "da yoof" will attract younger people.

When I perform for younger people, the only magician they really know is David Blaine. (I was told the other day they thought I was better though I am no way near as good)

So good luck to Dynamo. What I have seen of him I have enjoyed.
