I've been having a bit of trouble with that one myself. I normally end up doing the transfer with a finger palm and then quickly shifting the coin to classic palm. It works, but not as neat as a transfer from a classic.

Marvell - I believe that a coupel years ago, in a discussion very simlar to this on TalkMagic, one of these was recommended - Gripmaster. They build hand strength in a variety of ways - I think the idea is once you've got the muscle memory, you can build the muscles to hold more, or hold what you are already holding more efficiently.

It probably wouldn't do any harm to any manipulations, come to think of it. Cards, coins, sponge, rope... I might treat myself to one...

Lol, i've gave up on palming any coins for the time being. I'm having the same problems as Marvell in that when i actually put the coin in the palm position my fingers automatically curl round to hold it. I also have a double jointed thumb which really doesn't help the problem as it pops out of place in a attempt to hold the coin also making it look like my hand has gone into cramp whenever i do it. Ill keep practicing for now but no doubt i'll get bored and move onto a different sleight to practice. Never the less i shall keep on at this and get back to you in a month or so :D

PS. Should i be learning to palm it in the hand i use (right) or my left hand? (I'm right handed)

I'm left handed and I learned with my left first. It's interesting though, it took me several months to be able to do it with my left hand but when I switched to my right hand, I could do it right away. Somehow muscle memory seems to travel...
