Dear Santa...

Postby Craig Browning » Dec 11th, '06, 18:46

 Yes... I'm being rather silly

Dear Santa;

I've been exceptionally good this year but as you know things haven't been so easy when it comes to keeping up with things. I know if you could, you'd bring me that new health I need so as to get back to work, but I realize you don't do that kind of magic. Nonetheless, there are a few items I'd love to have, mainly so I can experiment and have something on hand for those "just in case" situations. For an example, this new Shocking thing that's out there (Electric Touch), I could have a load of fun with something like that  Then again, I really need to replace my billfold and the one I'd love to have is this one http://www.stevensmagic.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=2838 from Steven's Magic... that would be simply awesome!

Of course, you know me Santa, there are tons of other odds & ends I could use like software; Photoshop and a top end PDF Editor that will allow me to do encoding would be most awesome but at the same time, I'm really wanting to make the transition back to Mac... I've had far too many headaches with virus stuff this past year so even if you could find me a used laptop (Mac) that's in decent condition and capable of handling some of the more current demands we desk top publishers tend to place onto such things, that would make my day.

He, he... yes, you know me too well Santa, I do love my toys and when it comes to electronic gadgets there are a ton or two I'd love to get my hands on, starting with a Camcorder... I so desperately need a decent digital video camera that would at least give me the chance of creating the DVDs I've been planning for so long... it would be a most excellent tool all the way around and just like that lap top, I don't care if it's a couple of years old, just so long as it works! Of course, I'd love to have a stock-pile of odds & ends but that's neither here or there, got to keep things a bit more practical y'know...

:? As much as I hate dealing with it, I can't ignore the fact that I have some other "special needs" in my life... genuine "needs" vs. the wants I've already mentioned. But the thing is Santa, I already have one of the biggest most special presents of all -- a "need" fulfilled -- you see, I have tons of friends from all over the world, people I get to chat with almost daily through this and other forums I belong to. In so many ways they've become my "family"... they are after all, my only real outlet these days. I just hate the fact that I can't handle the traveling the way I used to in that I'd love to meet these guys & gals... so many of them give to me in ways they simply will never realize and yet, it's special to me and I so appreciate it and them... I hope they all understand that. I hope they can take a second and understand what it would be like to be more or less stuck at home the greater portion of your year, unable to do the things you once did and how important it is, knowing that someone is on the other side of this screen that gives a damn. :?

Anyway Santa... you know the kind of things I'd like to have and you know I'm not picky. In that I no longer have any family but the gang on line I thought I'd send this note to you in hopes you could fit it into your schedule somehow.

Thanks so much and have a safe trip next week

Now it's your turn guys, Tell Santa what you want and need or how you feel about things...

Dear Santa

Please give me bad breath, a glass eye and a permanently broken collar bone.. and a messed lip would be swell ( pun intended  )

You see Santa, being as perfect as I am is wearing rather thin and Im starting to bored of being pretty

If you cant manage the above, just send me the last 10 years of my life so I can engineer all the things I could have impacted if I had known how things would turn out.

And lastly, if that was asking to much.. would you send me your real address so I come see you and blow the brains out of your reindeer. They keep messing in my garden every december!!!

Love I.D

Dear Satan...sorry, Santa...

Can we try and make the word man-kind fit together a little better please; those two words together dont often make much sense these days...still, better than when we used to push our kids up chimneys when you were trying to get down them - that must of been a chore...

Can i also please fall in love with someone that lives nearby, thats twice now that i've ended up having a girlfriend that lives over 300 miles away, and quite frankly - its a little tiresome...

May i also ask that Kirsty Gallacher starts being single and living next door to me...

Oooh what else? well, i dont want any prezzies really, my parents to stay healthy, my mates to be happy...for me to win miss world re-reading this post back to myself...

For Wray and Nephew rum to become a little cheaper, montecristo No.4s to appear in my hand at a snap of my fingers, and that people stop having those silly asymetrical hairstyles so popular these days...they look ridiculous...

Im fine with the magic, i'll only ever be as good as the time and effort that i put in....

oh and if i could have a gift early, it would be for this poxy cold and hangover i have this morning to drift away like a pebble on the shore...

P.S. i've left you a copy of Playboy under the WELCOME mat as normal...oh and could you please stop making those slightly unsettling coke adverts please? they give me the heebie-jeebies...

Dear Santa,

Please give me the time back I want to be able to do the things I love so much. Oh, and if you can manage it, sorting me out somewhere to live would be great.

Help in finding a new job would also be much appreciated, but only if you could sort it so that I could still spend time with my friends from my current job, cos really, they're an alright lot.

If you could also sprinkle a bit of magical dust and help me get back some energy and motivation that I've been lacking so much these days.

A new PC would go a long way too, so I can spend some time talking to my friends on this very forum, and others all around the world, for I too know Craigs pain of not being able to get out and about much (different reasons though) and it's nice to know that people out there actually care.

Also, if you could sort out the world and help to make it less of a despicable doss hole that would be great too.

Thanking you in advance

EckoZero

[edit]If you could also spare just a few minutes to help em get over my fear of dentists so I can actually go and get signed up and do away with this tooth that needs removing that would rock too... [/edit]

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

OK, I'll talk to him... he lives just up the hill from where I live.
I'll tell him about your requests.
But he knows if you've been naughty or nice, so... :D

As Mae West said long ago, "When I'm good, I've very good... but when I'm bad, I'm even better..."
