It should work nicely. Just pop into any water sports place and have a look at the wetsuits if you are worried about the surface. The material is a nice texture that should work perfectly.

Rune, the list below i pasted from the link you posted earlier in this thread:

black nylon (backing)
plain (smooth raw neoprene)
textured (textured raw neoprene)
U-loop (hook-and-loop style backing)
UBL (unbreakable loop backing)
colored nylon (backing)
perforated neoprene (breathable rubber)

of the 7 different Neoprene finishes, 2 have a laminated nylon (the top one and the second bottom). the only diff being the top one is BLACK nylon while the second bottom is available in a variety of colors. i noted a color chart on your web link.
