I don't think the book needs to be aged, it's dated 1984.

If you want to add some character you could dog ear the cover and some pages.

You can also take some fine grain sandpaper and rough up the velo binding.

Received my copy last week and very pleased.

Not yet performed it but from the reviews and having read the instructions and learning the patter to go with it, I know it will get great reactions.

I use the BIP book quite frequently on stage and this seems like it could be a worthwhile addition to that part of the show.
Is it feasible to hand one spec Reflections and the other one BIP and do relevations like this? Or would using the two methods combined be confusing?
I'm unsure on this as I don't know how Reflections works, if it's a straightforward to use as the BIP, then cross using them at the same time would look impressive to the audience.

I have both and the methods are very different freddie.
None of the bips methods are used in reflections (As far as I remember at least).

I'm not sure quite how it would come across using both books within the same performance

With reflections you do end up going into a lot more detail with one spec, whereas bip is more streamlined but to multiple speccys.

Maybe if you were to use them both, you could use the bip as kind of a faux preliminary to choose the most suitable for the full on mentalisation.

Outlaw's website only has one price for Reflections. Does anyone know if this is the original version or the smaller, pocket version?

Rick informed me a while ago that he only does Reflections in the one size nowadays, which is the smaller size. It's still a hugely cool prop and effect(s) though so size clearly isn't always all that matters.


At some point when the magical pennies permit I even aim to get a couple more copies so as to split the three effects it contains across three specs, one copy each.

It's absolutely my best, most used Outlaw purchase to date (subject to currently awaiting the Almanac).
