Asking for someone to point you in the direction of where to learn an Ambitious Card Routine is the wrong thing to do in my opinion...

think that once you have the sleights necessary down, and can do them smoothly, then you really have to make it up yourself...Ambitious card is ALL about expressing your personality through the trick...some people do it straight up, some with comedy and some with drama...its entirely subjective

for the sleights involved though the usual old story of Royal Road to Card Magic, Born to Perform and Mark Wilson's complete course in magic are the best places to start....

but to reiterate if any card trick was about expressing individuality its Ambitious card...

hope this helps at all and when you have one together be sure and post a video of it...

Daryl has a pretty diverse and practical dvd (ignoring the final effect) on the Amibitious Card, if you're so inclined. http://www.magicproshop.com/daryls-ambi ... -2453.html

...and if you're more the ellusionist sort, they have their own generation-x aimed product at http://www.ellusionist.com/order/c2-car ... _trick.htm . There's a review at magictalk at http://www.magictalk.com/cgi-bin/review ... #Responses

...Personally, I prefer Daryl's teaching to Christian's, but both have some excellent input. ...and I do feel the Ellusionist product gives a bit more explanation on some aspects of it...

It's up to you! Good material available however - and yes, as said before, be sure to personalize your presentation. It's an excellent, classic effect. The selling point is in your style and adaptation of the material available. don't be afraid to segue into card-to-pocket or card-to-shoe, or whatever improbable location strikes your fancy. Good luck!

If I were you, I would buy the book Expert Card Technique. It teaches the full abitious card routine and has all the information you need to become a great card magician. In my mind, there is no better book for learning card magic.
