i've been visiting this forum every now and then, so i thought i'd sign up.
im an 18 year old male who is (now) studying 2nd year multimedia @ uni in melbourne/australia
a little about my past...
my love of magic probably began when i was little and i found one of those "how to do magic" books in my school library, in which i learned a trick with a rubberband but have since forgotten what the effect was or how to do it.
my experiences with magic then on were much like everyone elses, i saw episodes of the masked magician revealing secrets and david copperfield vanishing the statue, i've had relatives and friends show me a few basic tricks, you know, that kinda stuff.
untill last year, the only sleights i knew were the french drop and the glide, and even then, i didnt know what the sleights were actually named.
last year, i was at oreintation week at uni and accidentally stumbled across the magic club recruiting new members. one of the members performed a ACR. i didnt give it a second thought. i just signed up.
and so here i am, a year later, with a somewhat fair amount of knowladge about magic (i know what ACR stands for!
) and an averge level of card and coin magic. still a very long way for me to go, but im working hard to get there.
