That's a really nice display. Almost perfect choreography, and pretty smooth stuff.

Actually brought a lump to my throat, as Mrs Seige always used to say that song reminded her of me!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the kind words about my routine. I too admit I am no the master of the DL but the routine is still a work in progress. The video I posted was from 2003 and I can honestly say I do it a bit different and with a slight bit more skill... not as good as many of you may be able to accomplish, but as good as I can at the present time.

I struggled with removing the cards from mouth at the conclusion but the lay audiences reaction to this ending as opposed to a more romantic or dramatic ending is quite significant. The difference between just screaming and cheering and a standing ovation ( something I recieve most everytime I present the effect ).

I have many plans to advance the routine and look forward to your additonal comments.

yours in the art of magic and entertaining...

Hi Shawn!

I don't think the routine needs an awful lot of improvement, scrolling back through the comments here, I'm seeing words like "perfect", "flawless" and "brilliant" used frequently. And that's from a bunch of jaded magicians. Your routine has recieved one of the best reactions i've seen on this forum in a while, probably because it's different and refreshing.

Wouldn't worry about the DLs, theyre not very noticable (especially to lay folk).

And nice suit by the way.

You only really notice what you are looking for, lets face it most lay people wont be looking for it. And after all Shawn is world champion so he must be doing something right. Great vid Shawn Great suit. Now about my finders fee...

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

for me the best part of this whole routine is at about 5.30 in when he shows the ace of diamonds, returns it to the top of the pack, takes it back off and changes it to the ace of hearts...probably the simplest move in the entire routine but just the way his fingers cover the upside down heart, making you doubt him for a second!.... then he reveals the heart...Incredible...

Absolutely effortless. Love the pop up move too - the way he pretends to use a piece of string.

Sublime.
