Iv just performed Derren Brown's Smoke, in the pub, with a gathering of about 15 people(not big, i know) at first i was slightly worried about a certain switch, but i pulled it off perfectly, with a 'f**k off' pronounced from over 50%, and stunned silence from the rest, with a very sleight look of fear on the face, the trick went down a BIG success. great stuff!!! i LOVE this trick!

congratulations, i like the idea of this trick but being the magician i am i wouldn't ever perform it the way derren does. although i have on occasion done a variation of it using a certain trick deck and what i like to call the "there's no way i could be forcing this is there?" force

Nice to hear that this worked. I remember seeing him do it to Stephen Fry and got very lucky with the card. It is a great effect but not for all contexts and/or settings.

yeah, after seeing the Steven Fry one, I just HAD to learn it! its good to have a reason to learn a trick, i think! lol
