First TV shoot

Postby moodini » Jan 8th, '07, 16:41

I just needed to mention......I am doing my first promo shoot on Television this week (Wednesday night) they approached me a month or two aga and asked if I would do a spot on TV about local entertainment options......chance to promote myself (as well as my regular weekly restaurant spot)....I get to do about a 2 minute clip of just magic, and an additional few minutes of Q & A about how to book me, contact, etc......EXCITED to say the least!

The TV shoot went great.....had time to do a quick little sleight of hand routine using dice.....sort of a cup and balls routine without cups, and dice rather than balls (if that makes sense to you all)...I then answered some questions and they asked the crowd at the bar if they wanted to see another....maybe an example of what you can expect to see at the restaurant....so I did a TT vanish with a fistful of salt, and made it reappear inside a borrowed rolled up ten dollar bill.....the crowd went nuts, the interviewer was speechless....so needless to say it went well.

The camera guy said that it was the most interesting clip he has taped in a long time, and said he would like to get me on again in a "back by popular demand" type of segment.......when the segment aired on TV, the TV anchors said they spent some time watching the tape in slow motion and couldn't catch it, so they hyped it up a bit before it played.....the stations has received some email about the segment and was very pleased with how it turned out.

I am trying to get a copy of it on disc so I can download it for all to see....but needless to say it was too much fun and went well....best part of all is the "slow motion" comment....people at my next show asked me if they really did watch it in slow motion....so that comment obviously stuck with many veiwers!

... and well done by the way - glad it went well

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??
