Hi I'm Steve, originally from Manchester I've been living in Holland for the last twelve years.
Was really into magic as a kid of 10-11 and just got back into it again.
At the moment I'm leaning more towards comedy magic, just trying to put a routine together.
I've just booked my flight to Blackpool for the Feb. convention.
I now need to sort out accomodation. Is it worth the 45 quid a night to be in the Ruskin hotel (where it seems anybody who is anybody goes) or should I just get a cheap B&B nearby?
I won't get to Blackpool until 8pm on the Friday. Is it still worth going down or wait until Saturday?
Also my return flight is 5pm Sunday. Is it worth the 45 quid Sunday fee for only half the day?

Hi and welcome. The Ruskin is probably full by now so B&B would be the more economic way to stay in Blackpool. Personally I'd only pay the full daily rate if I were going to be there all day but I'm a well known cheapskate anyway !

There's plenty of backstreet B & B's that are cheap and cheerful (and usually clean ). Last time I went (6 months ago ish), prices started at £15 per person, plus an extra £3 for evening meal - not bad if you're a cheapskate like me (and through his own admission - Mandrake too )
