Hi. my name is Paul i am a stage hypnotist. Joined this forum to get some information on mentalism and magic that I can combine with my Hypnosis shows.
I AM NOT HERE TO REQUEST SECRETS FROM OTHER USERS. I just want to gain as much knowledge as I can. I can offer advice to fellow stage hypnotists.

Unfortunately, Paul, you've already blotted your copybook with those uneccessary and personal insults earlier today. Nobody here deserves that kind of thing so I doubt you'll gain much from TM now.

Please consider the context! I thought Paul "confortablynum" got a quite unfriendly welcome and I though Craig Brownings answer to his question was both arrogant and unfriendly.

To greet a newcomer writing:
why we don't just openly share our knowledge with shmucks that are too damned lazy or cheap to actually knuckle down and learn something...

is not very nice. Other people then joined in … I am proud that some of my fellow magicians did not except this treatment of a newcomer. Yes, one of Paul's postings was maybe not phrased carefully enough, and yes he responded to the bad treatment. I did not read what he wrote, but from pm correspondence I had with him after he blew the gasket, its clear that he is as serious as any other newcomer. I hope from now on confortablynum will feel more welcome here….

Hello Paul and welcome to TM.
I think you should take a deep breath and then browse the threads and use the search option, to find topics of your interest.

I understand you got a big growl from Craig. Well he's a huuuuuuuuuge professional in his field, but as helpful, deep and friendly as he can be to those who ask the correct questions - if you rub his fur "from tail to head" he can wake up in a bad temper, and tear you to pieces. If you write a word here that starts with "M" and ends with "ental", you automatically wake him up :)

Craig is neither arrogant nor unfriendly! He's just Craig!

I don't know what you wrote, but as the Mods erased part of it, It must have been nasty.

Cheer up and... always look at the bright side of life! (whistle)
By the way, you said very very little in your introduction. Where in the world are you and how old?
Best greetings from Iceland!

HI,
With regards to my unpleasent post to craig.. I hold my hands up and regret what I said. I just felt that the responses I got from other members was uncalled for, One of my bad points is I have a short fuse! I would like to appoligise to craig for what I said. My reaction was totally childish and wrong of me!
I am totally serious about learning mentalism and magic and I hope we can all put my behavour beheind us.
I think I will try some self hypnosis to chill myself out!!! lol

Please dont think I am an angry, nasty person! When someone gets to me (yes craig did get to me!!) I lash out...as I said this is one of my bad points..I think it stems from being bullied when I was at school (over 9 years ago now) My defence is to lash out. But I should know better!!!!

anyway....I hope you can understand my point of view.

Kind regards

Paul 25, Merseyside, Wirral UK

Hi Paul, welcome to TM and well done for the appology.

Craig's a good guy who really knows his stuff but ask the wrong questions and he can be like a bear with a sore head but his bark is worse than his bite.

Have fun here :D

Sorry, saw this and wet myself laughing...

Anyone remember Police 5, with Shaw Taylor?

hehehehehhe

Anyhow, nice to see someone with the minerals to admit an apology. Can solve many social issues with a simple bit of humbleness.

Welcome to TM! And from your 'rebirth' I hope things go a lot better.

Why would you want to hypnotise a stage? In fact, how would you tell?
