Hey everyone-

I'm new here so, ummm, hi .... I'm Rachel. =)

Anyways, I've been hanging around and reading on TM for a while now. Ive always intended to join but I'm kinda shy... However, this specific problem (that's driving me INSANE!) has motivated me to finally sign up and see if SOMEONE would have an answer or be able to help.

Here's the details; When I got Fraud from ellusionist, I was SO excited to get it, practice, and go perform it. But on the first try I soon found out that during the preparation process there is a technical problem that I have every single time and it's stopping me from being able to even begin the trick. I'm so desperate and have tried everything to fix it but can't figure it out. I DO meet the requirement he says in the video but it's just not working and I can't understand why!? And he never mentions it being a possible problem. Obviously, saying the specific problem would give the secret away, so I guess, if you have Fraud, and wouldn't mind to try and help me with my technical difficulty, PLEEEEASE PM me!

It's funny because in the video when he got into explaining how it worked, I KNEW before I tried it that this was gonna happen... I remember asking myself how it would work when i was watching it but then reassured myself that it's working for him and every one else so it has to. Because of this, I can't do the trick, and I really feel like I wasted my money (im BROKE as it is)

Oh yeah & BTW- I DO NOT have access to the ellusionist forums. I have tried a billion times to open the webpage for it but I always get the same wierd refuse IP address error message. So please don't say "just go to ellusionist and get help there" because I really wish I could, but I can't! You guys are my only hope it seems....
(Also, if you're good at computers and know how to fix that IP error so that I CAN open their page, I'd die to know how to fix that too! so PM me then too~ )

Hi Rachel and welcome to TM
I'm afraid I do not own own Fraud so cannot help you directly, however, have you tried sending a message to ellusionist via their support ticket system? They may be able to help you with your IP problem.

Also, you will find most of us here very helpful, however, it would be nice if you popped over to the introductionsection and told us a little about yourself. We like to know a bit about people and their interests in magic before they are welcomed. You will get more from TM and be more likely to have others help you if you do

Have you tried using a thinner plastic sheet? The plastic sheeting which is recommended in the DVD is generally too strong for some currencies. The grade you need to use is thinner than OHP acetate, but not as thin as greaseproof paper.

Also, it's a common misconception that you MUST round the corners off the plastic before finishing the gimmick... trust me... a DIAGONAL cut will suffice if you don't have nail clippers.

As for the ellusionist IP error, I did email them about a half a year ago complaining about it and hoping for some help on fixing it, however the reply (which really pi**ed me off) was some stupid automated computer response saying like "sorry for your complaint and any inconviniences it has caused you, we hope you have a better experience with ellusionist blah blah next time" or something...so i kinda just deleted that from my possible ways to fix it. But now that you mention it, I'm going to try again tonight. Maybe i WILL 'have a better experience with ellusionist next time' lol.

As of now though, I am still left with an unanswered problem.. So if anyone has Fraud (I don't think it matters if you aren't using US money like I am) I'd really appreciate some help. I can't imagine being the only person who came across this... So please PM me! =)

Sorry but i just had to bump this....
Its the same technical problem and im still having it when trying prepare for the trick Fraud . I havent found ANY help or figured out how to get through to the ellusionist forum and i neeeeeeeeeed to fix this. It seems so simple. Its really hard for me to imagine that im the only person that's having this problem (i couldnt imagine not having this problem because the first time i watched the DVD i wondered about how it would work right) But it's driving me bOnKeRs and i cant stop thinking about it and i ruined so many bills trying to fix it and i even went to the c******* store looking for help but they wouldnt help me because i couldnt explain the problem and have them fix it without mentioning the fact that its related to money and that made them refuse to be involved with it. I also emailed ellusionist and they said the HP thing was something wrong on MY side and they couldnt do anything. Then i asked for help for the problem and they said thats what the forum is for because of the reason that they dont know if people asking questions actually own it or not, which i guess they are implying that if i didnt own it, then it would be exposing? But if they let me ask, the question along makes it very VERY clear that i do...! Im actually SO desperate ive eeven considered exposing the secret to someone a few times to see if they could maybe help...... but I would hate to be forced too resort to that~
