YLI Woolly Nylon thread

Postby Ace of Wands » Jul 31st, '03, 21:51

Does anyone know of any UK stockists for YLI woolly Nylon thread?
I think I am going blind trying to strip threads from nylons 8)
By the way I looked through your forum and was pleased to see very little in the way of Ego inversely proportioned to talent, I stopped using the last forum board I was a member of because of all the childishness.
this place looks a lot more fun - especially the lemon jokes thread.

Welcome AOW, if you check through the older postings you'll see that insanity is more common here than ego. I agree with you about 'other' forums and there have been quite a few threads here concerned about the ego thing. Sadly, the worst offenders seem to be those who are professional or semi professional magicians and believe the hype on their own websites.

Although talkmagic is still relatively small and quiet, it's a friendly place to friendly people. The two dangers of visiting here are a) your sanity will be seriously eroded, b) your bank balance will deteriorate through just having to buy all the stuff reviewed, and c) you lose the ability to count properly!

Looking forward to reading more postings from you soon!

Welcome to the looney-bin...

Some endearingly fine comments there for your first post. And take heed of Mandrake's comments - this site leads to personal and domestic problems, apart from waking at 3am thinking about Aadvarks licking lemons...

Anyway, try
www.stepbysteppatchworkcentre.co.uk

They sell lots of YLI products, including mighty fine IT. If stripping thread is what you're after, I can whole-heartedly recommend the Z-Webs system by Kennedy (reviewed by yours truly).

Penguin also sell stranded thread on a spool for a very reasonable sum.

www.stepbysteppatchworkcentre.co.uk do mail order, and although I've only crossed their palm with currency once, I found it a very helpful way to acquire otherwise expensive IT.

Once again, a warm welcome. Hope to hear more from you!

Oh, by the way, Ace of Wands - you're 'split' has been performed.... the Hans Moretti discussion continues in the Magician's Talk area of the forum...

See, all you do is ask! We're so friendly and obliging - just like aadvarks!
