It depends on who I am around. For my friends, I have to really stick to card work as they don't "buy" me as much as a mentalist. Too heavily labelled as a magician for them. So with them I love to do strong card magic they can't begin to wrap their head around and is still "close" to mentalism. For instance, 'Card of Destiny' by Richard Busch is a good one to do. Though I spice it up with THE SECRET principle.
I also have my own version of Luke Jermays effect where you make a spectator forget what card they just looked at. I believe it is in 7 Deceptions, but I know its on the Skullduggery DVD.
