Do U Have SharpieThruAnything (LAST QUESTION I PROMISE!)

Postby LazyKat420 » Jan 31st, '07, 04:06

Okay; ONE LAST QUESTION! (its my final order online for a long time)

I really want a sharpie thru anything. There's penguin magic but it's not real so that's out of the question, then left theres this really expensive one, and then there's one made by JB. For the JB one, the picture shows the gimmicked shapie and its main body looks WHITE with a black cap....but REAL sharpie's are GREY bodied with a black cap. I'm not sure if it's just the picture because things on the internet and over moniters and stuff can be decieving or maybe that's how it really is. Either way, it makes a HUGE difference to me. Im afraid to order the cheap one and it turns out to be white so then i have to order the expensive one..which is just MORE money wasted. So, I rather just buy one or the other (but if JBs is grey, im obviously getting the cheaper one!)
Here's the link (not from the place im buying from but this page has the biggest pic of it):

Has anyone seen or anyone own a JB sharpie thru anything (only this specific brand) that can tell me whether the body is white or grey?

It would help me sooooo much!
Thanks~

Don't worry it's grey. They wouldn't make one white as you would know it was fake!

Tony Hayms- "They wouldn't make one white as you would know it was fake!"

Haha that's what i thought i first but then i found penguin magic's...and it's completely blank! EVERYONE in US knows what a sharpie is so you would think that when you use it, the first thing people think is "oh a fake sharpie through paper!" keyword: FAKE, and then it goes from there!
I dont know if it just seems beyond obvious to me because i know how it's done and im a magician so i know what to look for, but the blank one from PM seems embarassingly easy to figure out~

Back to the JB one, i hope you're right Tony..Are you really sure or do you own one or is it an educated guess?

If anyone else knows for a fact that it isnt or is fake, please speak up!
Thanks

Sharpies can look different over here to elsewhere as they're no longer made by Sandford but by Papermate and it clearly says so on the barrel. This isn’t a problem until you have to switch in a gaffed Sharpie from the US and it could be something an eagle eyed spec will notice. Most of the gaffed or special Sharpies I've seen are the usual US style Sharpie so you should be OK with it. An e-mail to JB in advance to ask the question should get you a reassuring answer.
