yes, it is. I saw this a while ago. Apparently Teller is a friend of Derren's. I have to agree that he really does know what he's talking about, and how to make a good effect.

There are a few more video's, including one which is called something like 'Penn and Teller explanation of slight of hand', which is really great (this does not feature Teller talking).
It amazes me everytime I watch it, and to be able to get such great reactions basically just from a TT is incredible.

Teller also talks at the end of the film 'Penn and Teller get killed'. he talks many times during their 'Bullshot' (edited) tv series, but only while off camera. He did mention on the website that hes done some sort of voice over for a nature/sea documentary if i remember right

Teller is educated, intelligent and well spoken. Yes, he speaks and, when on the right subject, at length.

In an interview with Teller, he explains that when he and Penn first started together, he didn't have a silent part. However, he wasn't getting good audience reactions and his jokes were falling flat. At one point, he decided that since nothing was working, he'd simply not say a word.

Well, the rest, as they say, is history.

Penn and Teller are an excellent study in how an act evolves and gets better, if you pay attention to your audience and experiment with your act to find that niche that's right for you. Much the same with The Amazing Jonathan, who started his act as a straight magician (Jonathan worked street magic for many years not far from where Harry Anderson was working at the time).

Mike.
