Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Repeating an effect might make it less intertaining. Also if an effect for example involves some "acting" where the magician for example "pretends" to have messed up, it would clearly not be an effect to repeat.

Often when I perform spectators can come and go, and some hang around so I find it a clear plus to have many effects that can be repeated as many times one desire. If I repeat shuffle board I make sure to use a diffent setup so the outcome varies an look more random. Triumph can be repeated though of course it should not be repeated as part of the show, but if one or two spectators stay over and see it twice nothing is lost. Most times I cannot be borred but occationally I have a gimmicked deck with half the cards DBakers. As you might know - or work out - there is a very strong version of triumph where the specator can shuffle the upside cards into the face down cards and then while the magican turn around just turn one face up card face down. The magician then - without even touching the card, (but with a minimal nonverbal control of the spectator making sure the deck is turned correctly) makes all cards but the one selected by the spectator are back up.

Sorry for the last disgression.....

Magic is slight of mind!

I was looking in one of my other magic books and I have a found a another version to they golden role 5 the same as the last one

My Mysteries 7 principles of card magic

1. Practice never performs a trick in public until you have mastered it in private.

2. Respect the cards. They are the most loyal assistants you ever have.

3. Carry your cards every where you know when rival will put your skills to the test

4. Project Confidence-the most important illusion of all

5. Never show an Audience the same trice twice

6. Never use the cards to cheat other. Those who do are con artists not magicians.

7. Never reveal your secrets.

Goodluck
