Hey Tomo,
I can see how most people would find that very funny! Don't worry, I don't take offence - I'm secure enough in my faith to take jibes, and I sure love to dish them out - but I do feel obliged to point out that whilst this makes amusing reading, it's based on total ignorance about the Bible and the history of Christianity. But I'll leave it there, this thread has run it's course I think - Andy, prepare for some PMs!

I look forward to them. THese are questions that I can't imagine have answers (from my perspective), and have never recieved intelligent responses. You obviously know your stuff, and so I look forward to having what I think I know challenged.
And can I just doff my cap to you for taking part in this discussion. Many Christians I have encountered do not like having there beliefs challenged, where as I think it is a win win situation. If you change your beliefs, then its been a success for you (whichever way that goes) and if you still have your beliefs intact, then they will be stronger. Just like good science!

Its been a pleasure.

Just for the records folks, can I say thanks for such a well behaved proper discussion thread? So many times before now these things got out of hand and were locked so gold stars and many Brownie points all round and, next time you're in the pub, treat yourselves to a drink :D !

Tomo, brilliant post.

h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed and shave, most of my female friends shave under their arms and also some other unmentionable regions, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die?

That line made me laugh out loud. Now everyone in the office thinks I'm mad.
