I don't think that we'll loose books, the target audiences might change but there is only so far you can go with a DVD.

Eventually the Ellusionist kids will pick up a book and realise what they've been missing all this time (how many people on here have done exactly that?)

I generally prefer books for the price, quantity and the fact that you can go through them at your own pace.

When I tried to learn from a DVD I found I was constantly rewinding back to see things again. It became quite tedious.

I think that new comers are pulled to these DVD's because of the hype and marketing on websites. They see a magician pull of all these amazing effects and make people believe after 5mins of watching their DVD they will be performing one handed cobra shuffles.

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.
