With a scant working week to go may I pick up on one of Iain's previous suggestions that we all perhaps do a little bit of homework? For
example we could each try and come up with a method for card at any number and then storm it a bit.

Of course a slightly less played out effect might be better, even summat that would suit being done in the pub like a prediction of which drink the spec will go for next or somesuch. Any takers?

I'm magiced out in terms of learning new material (trying to consolidate all the new stuff I've been learning lately) but I am up for some magic homework, that midweek meet last time had us all presenting a brand new routine to each other which hadn't been done by us before and perhaps wasn't ready for the real world.

Anyhoo I'll see you all on Saturday - might even see one of you on the friday ;)

Excellent! Well then what'll it be? My only preference is something that isn't a particular speciality of anyone present, to level the playing field a bit. For example Dini has cornered the market in pony-tail vanishes so none of those.

Hmmmmm

I think peoples interests are so varied that someone will do at least one of the types of things suggested. (Like rope, cups and balls)

Perhaps a trick involving a prop you're going to find in the bar? that might be too soon for this saturday though, I know I'm struggling for time.

Coins Across?

Omni deck stuff?

deck vanish stuff?

Card at Any number plot as suggested before

edit: for cheapish hotel deals check out the following (its relative, london is always expensive or get so hammered that someone has to look after you and gives you a place on the sofa)

www.londontown.com
www.hotelclub.co.uk
www.expedia.co.uk (believe it or not they come up trumps once in a while)

For real B&B stuff look for places like Belgrave road (walking distance from victoria station.

The best deal I ever found at the strand was £95 for the night for a single room.

Seriously sat here for five seconds or so wondering what a hotel deal was, and whether it relates to the elevator plot...

then the only thing left is the method.
