Am I missing something here?

Postby Lady of Mystery » Feb 28th, '07, 16:13

But why????

http://www.world-of-magic.co.uk/magic.asp?id=11530

Who'd want the box when it costs more than a whole new deck? Or am I being silly and missing something?

It's sheer stupidity. Or greed?

They cost tuppence, if that.

Then again, SOMEONE will buy them I'm sure.

That is a whole box full of crazy....

or should that be a box empty of crazy

Very puzzling.

An idea though. They could come with free cards!

can you ask them if they also sell pencils without the lead please...

it does seem odd...though im quite fond of their site, as they do have the odd nice book quite cheap...and some unusual dvds....

I wonder if the bottom is missing or something for tricks with two decks or whatever.

But generally that is stupid, thats like going to a cafe and buying a cup of coffee then just getting the paper cup.

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

It's got to be a typo of some sort, as seige says empty card boxes cost nowhere near that. I bought some from cards4magic ages ago and they were very low cost items at the time.

Nobody is possibly that greedy to mark up an empty box at more than a new whole card deck.

It HAS to be a typo. There's no other reason for it.

Blimey, I'm sitting on a nest egg then... I have about 90 of each colour (red/blue) sitting in the stock room which I bought for about 7p each!

So, 180 x .50p = £90!

Not a bad profit there for essentially a bunch of cardboard

I dont see the need to buy a new car case.. unless you want to give the impression that you are using a new deck in which case.. buy a new deck!!

It makes some sense - there are a few occasions when I've wanted to gaff up a card case but it would have meant a few of my decks going homeless. But even at 50p I'd probably still be inclined to just wait until I'm done with the cards.

25p's much nicer :D
