hi and i got a quick question

Postby stlcards713 » Mar 1st, '07, 04:33

ok first off i live in st. louis, missouri, united states. I am just starting to get into magic because it is kind of going around my school. Today i saw the best trick i have ever seen. My friend asked me to write and x on apiece of paper and then write someones same and then write the letter of their first name. Then i folded the piece of paper up and put it into my hand and clenched my fist shut. Then with my other hand, which was my right hand (i am not sure if it matters), i grabbed his wrist and squeezed pretty hard. When i removed my hand there was the letter P in a light red and then he guesses the name. This is by far the best trick i have ever seen. So if anyone has done this or knows about it could u tell me then name of the trick or how to do it or where i can learn how to do it. Any help at all would be great. thanks :?:

Stigmata, its by Wanye H.
We will not tell you how to do it, as that is against the forum rules, the magicians rules, and its just unethical.
If you really want to know the secret buy it. But are you going to buy it just to know the secret, or because you have a true interest in the art?
It sounds like your just after the secret to know it. :?

Welcome.......it is always nice to see the North American presence on the sight grow.....I am from Canada.

When you say "School" do you mean high school, junior high school, college or University?

Are you a hockey fan......Blues perhaps?

yeah i mean high school. I used to love the blues, but with the strike and then they were the worst team in the league last year i kind of lost interest. My dad works at sxottrade, which is hwat the new center is named and so he gets free box tickets all the time. So i am starting to go more often now, mainly because of all the free food, but the games are getting better. I absolutely love the world champion cardinals. I am not so hot on the rams i am actually a huge michael vick and falcons fan. Lastly my favorite sport to watch and play is easily soccer. Go liverpool. Steven Gerrard= God.

I don't mind the Blues....bit of a Red-wing fan myself......a freind of mine used to play goal for the Blues...Chris Osgood - are you familar with him? Get yourself rolling in magic.....use your connections at the rink. I have actually performed for some private box suites in the Pengrowth Saddledome (Calgary Flames) inbetween periods.......it is fun and the corporations are all for it to entertain clients, etc. Just a thought for you!!!!

Hi and welcome to TM.

If you're really interested in getting into magic, you'll be much better off getting a good book to start you off rather than single tricks which will cost you a fortune in the long run. I'd really recomend you have a look at Mark Wilson's Complete Course, it'll give you a much better overall understanding. Also have a look at royal road to card magic and bobos modern coin magic, also both very good books.

Hope this helps
