What areas of magic are you naturally interested in?

For mental magic, you're best bet is to start with Karl Fulves' "Self-working Mental Magic" from Amazon. Don't be surprised that it and the "bible" of mentalism, "13 Steps To Mentalism" by Tony Corinda, are full of physical procedures and techniques rather than strange mental effects. It's all magic at it's root. Purely psychological stuff needs some skill with performing, and you'll get performing experience from those two books. Another, equally good, book is "Practical Mental Magic" by Annemann.

If you're up for the first ever book in English about magic, it's regarded as being Reginald Scot's "The Discoverie of Witchcraft", printed in 1584. The full text can be found here: http://www.esotericarchives.com/solomon/scot16.htm

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Welcome, anubis! A good place to start for Illusions would be ellusionists Street Magic DVD (man, that sounds like an ad)

Ellusionist is very overpriced for their gear, so I'm not saying buy directly from them, but you can often find alot of their stuff on eBay for heaps cheaper. Their main site is http://www.ellusionist.com

Hi and welcme to TM

Hmm .... Anubis eh :?: Do you watch Stargate by any chance :?:

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??
