I do not own premier pro so can only speculate, however, like most video editing programs, the output will more than likely be reliant on the codec used.
If you were to encode the video in, say, divx or xvid it it will result in a far smaller filesize than raw avi. mpeg2 or 4 will probably also be an option. A guess is that these codec options will be in the dialogue when you output the file somewhere, possibly under setup or advanced.
Once you have found these options it is a case of playing with them, and outputting the same file to different codecs and bitrate values as mentioned above until you get a reasonable trade-off between quality and filesize. Appending the filename with the codec and if necessary the bitrate will help you to keep track of which one is which
