corrupted youtube upload

Postby magicmonkey » Mar 4th, '07, 13:39

Wasn't sure if this should be here, in miscellaneous or file sharing, please move if in the wrong forum.

I have recorded a short trick of my own creation and have tried to upload it to youtube. I output the file as both divx and mpg. after trying to view both on youtube, I am confused as to what I can do to make the video viewable. It is totally corrupted with really bad pixelling and the sound is affected too.
The file is fine before I upload it and reasonable quality.

If anyone can help with suggestions as to what I am doing wrong I greatly appreciate it.
The file is here for now but I will obviously be taking it down shortly.

Many thanks in advance of any help I get.

There's a page in youtubes help section which details the optimum filetype to upload.

Just a quick try; www.ohshare.com
You can load the vid on there and people can download it off

Hade have checked optimum file page.
Am thinking maybe it is the framerate as the standard rate is 24 fps over here in blighty, although this wasn't a problem before.

Thanks for the link Kobra. I want to try and get things working on tube again before I give up and use another vid host
