Faros

After the disappointment of missing out on the chance to perform the shuffle on TV I thought I would at least put up some kind of video to showcase the wonderful concept of the faro shuffle. I hope you enjoy it.

Now THAT is very impressive.

My riffle faro is okay... But I'm lucky to get more than one right in a row at the moment. It's certainly an area I need to touch up.

That was very well done, and the music fitted beautifully.

I have to ask though - was that the first attempt? Or did it take more than go at filming?

Thanks for the comments. Yes that was the first attempt - I pretty much have the shuffle nailed now. I was considering putting up a faro shuffle tutorial - any thoughts? Glad you like the music too - gold star for the first person to name that tune.

I wish I knew the name... Then I could have a gold star!

A faro tutorial may be a good idea. I honestly don't know. There's quite a few fine points to cover. I don't suppose it can hurt. Yeah, why not!

Oh! I know! Petit Chien! Whew!

Anywho, very impressive shuffles, there. I like doing that, but stopping in the middle and seeing all of the pairs and things like that :D

Thanks,
Dominick

Very nice indeed! The Faro is a right pain to get perfect everytime. I remember practicing when the Christmas lecture guy posted on here. I only just got passed half way

Correct! Otherwise known as 'Minute Waltz' by Chopin. Here you go:

Bringing up an old thread but that was nice! :D

I think you should do the perfect riffle shuffle found in Expert Card Technique on PG65 or the one by Charlie Miller on PG66.
