Michael Vincent Lecture

Postby dat8962 » Mar 14th, '07, 22:27

I saw Michael Vincent lecture at the Wessex last night and what a real treat. If you get the chance to see Michael at one of the maic Societies then I highly recommend that you go!

I spent about 30 minutes chatting to Michael before, during the break and after the lecture and he's a really nice guy who's approach was a real breath of fresh air.

His lecture centres around his concept of the tapestry of magic which focuses on what makes great magic from those off beat moments through to the psychology of performance. Different from the tirck / explanation / repeat format of some that I've seen in the past.

Fantastic stuff - 10/10 with ease..

I agree I have the vide he did called the tapestry of magic - and it was all about mis idrection - audience control and building up magic as an art form - saw he was lecturing at FISM last year too - a wonderful man with plenty of time for people

Incidentally, the video called 'The Tapestry of Magic' is now on Volume 3 and as he says - 'it's a work in progress'.
