Morning all!
I'm toying with the idea of adding Bang On by Marc Oberon to my existing card routine. The problem is, will the effect be diminished and do you think it's best to keep it as a 'stand alone' effect?
At the minute my card routine starts like this.. (brief overview)
Deck of cards borrowed and shuffled
Spec choosed card, holds and concentrates on it
I name their card. This, I explain, has established our link. now we can try a few more things..
Card is then shuffled back into the deck. I explain to spec that they now have a connection with that card, this deck and me. Show them top card, put it in their hand, and ask them to squeeze with their other hand
Top card shown in middle of deck. Specs card has jumped to their closed hands.
Card is pushed into middle of deck (ambitious card routine)
Specs card jumps to top
Spec cuts pack, their card put in. Spec replaces top stack and their card jumps back to top
Specs card is bent, then placed in middle of the deck.
Top stack replaced. Their card visually jumps to the top of the deck.
It is here that I'm thinking I could say something along the lines of 'You know, your connection with that card is so strong etc etc, (THIS IS WHERE ANY ADICE ON PATTER WOULD BE APPRECIATED - to justify the card being in my wallet)
then say I don't have 52 pockets, or 52 wallets. but one wallet. and in my wallet is one envelope.... etc before revealing their chosen card to be the only card in there.
What do you think? any advice or tips would be appreciated.
And sorry, it's not actually been that brief an overview has it?!
