We've just booked up our holiday in the summer to Lindos in Rhodes, looks lovely.

Anyone else got any plans for a sunny, summer get away?

Excellent choice. Haven't been there for ages , but it's a beautiful place.
I would avoid it during the first 3 weeks of August since it's overcrowded but it all depends on what kind of vacations you want.
There are beautiful ancient momunets and lovely beaches. i would recommend renting a car and travel arounfd Rhodes.

We're going the first 2 weeks in July.

We usually do a bit of everything, some lounging on the beaches, some sightseeing, what ever's going really. I've heard that the windsurfing is meant to be good there, so will have to have a play if it is.

I'm all excited now!

I'm going on a 2 1/2 week Mediterranean cruise this year, can't wait. Then all this recent good weather has got me in fine form and excited about the next few months ahead.

I always love it when it gets to this time of the year.

Are you having a complete break from magic, or are you packing your trusty TT and suchlike.

I'm probally going to go to sunny Butlins at least the kids will enjoy it.

First weeks of July is an excellent choice. Beginning of September too.
Not that good for surfing though but Rodos has some very good areas for windsurfing. The most famous is called Prasonisi (South of Rhodes) ,check this site : http://www.prasonisi.com/ for all the info you can get.

Lindz, Butlins is great fun. Been to Bognor quite a few times with Dave for a boozy few days and always had a great laugh. The kids'll love it.

I agree with Nightfall. Excellent choice. And definitely rent a car there. I'm boing the other way with my family. We'll do Scotland by car. I was there like 15 years ago and it was a great experience and been wanting to return for quite some time now. Can't wait to do some whisky tasting!!!

Wills: which cruise and ship will you be doing? Just wonder because my company owns a travel agency.

Not to sure to be honest, I'll check out later as it was booked a while ago now. Its one of them massive ships with 12 bars, casino, night club etc

Cuba - either Late December or early January

Going to try and fit in New york at some point as I bought 5 days extra holiday

Yeah we usually go there twice a year with the kids and I admit I do have fun. I just get depressed at night because we have to go back to the challet at about 9 o clock for the kids bed and I just want to get drunk . On second thoughts this time I could send the missuss and kids back and stay there and get drunk by myself.
