Well, since I'm now a full member I might as well introduce myself.
I'm majs. I've always enjoyed magic. I like watching them and I like performing them (friends and family only so far). I guess more of a hobby. I had the CUPS before I got married and bought quite a bit of packet tricks for much money (looking back wasted money) as now they are all (most) collecting dust inside my "magic box". I've bought tricks, books,and videos like: Bobo's Modern Coin Magic, David Roth's Expert Coin Magic videos, Roth's Coin Magic Book (I was intimidated by card magic as I have small hands), Ammar's Magic Book (can't remember what's it's called) and some of his videos.
... so I guess I'm not really new to magic ... just back at it!
I somehow got the magic bug again after having 2 kids. They are both now in school and daddy is showing them the ropes so to speek. So now the kids are having fun learning self working tricks and I'm re-training my hands for coin and new card manipulation that actually require a lot more skill.
I guess I might as well mention that I first saw my wife to be doing magic tricks at a wedding. She kinda hung around and that started the marrage thing. So I could definately say that magic can open new doors.
I guess I better pick an avater too ...
