So... my hands were freezing today so I broke out the old "self-heating hand warmers." For those of you that done know what they are... they are these little packages of nontoxic all-natural materials that when exposed to air generate heat. They are for skiing, when you hands are cold you can put them in your gloves.

Anyways, now that you know what they are... I just put one in my hand and had my PK ring on... They are highly magnetic!! I just wanted to let people know that if they want something to be magnitized w/o having a big honker magnent on whatever it is... these would be perfect if you just opened it up and used the materials inside.

What do you think about using these??

How strong are they? Enough to reset gaff coin gimmicks?

Fairly stong... I haven't done much with my pk ring yet other than prohibition. They stick a little less than a bottle cap if that is any help at all. i am not sure about a gaff coin...

Probably not the best idea to crack one of those hand warmers open, pretty sure the materials inside can be harmful. Juts a thought tho. Good find lol

I was thinking the same thing... just found some "precautions"... It says if package is broken do not allow contact w/ eyes or mouth. It doesn't say anything about contact w/ skin. I am guessing they have to put the "eyes or mouth" thing to protect themselves but it doesn't seem to be dangerous really.

It also says in the ingedients there is iron so that must be where the magnatizing is coming from.

I think you would be ok as long as you dont decide to eat it for breakfast.

If the hand warmers have iron in them, that shouldn't be the only reason why they are magnetic. What are all of the other ingredients in the hand warmers?
