Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

As I almost exclusively use my blue bikes to perform, I practice with red bikes. Every so often, generally after a cups purchase has made me feel guilty, i buy a stack of red bikes to remind me how i should be perfecting the basics of my art, and use these to practice.

I think it's important to practice with cards in a similar state to those with which you perform. As with anything you practice enough, the moves and the feelings become nature, and so you expect items to behave in a certain way.

That said, not much can prepare you for turning up to someones house and being passed a bridge deck of 10 year old cards with felt tip marks all over them and being asked "can you do some magic".

One of the things I've learnt over the years is that you can always utilise spare cards.
