Axis Change Clean up...

Postby AcrylicAce » Apr 9th, '07, 14:35

Just wondering if anyone has come up w/ a good method to clean up after this change. It doesn't even seem like Dalal has a good method for it as he doesn't ever even do it in the video at full speed and when he is doing it slow you can clearly see what he is doing.

I have been messin around with this for awhile now and I have the vanish down pat but it is useless if I can't clean up. I can't seem to figure anything out.

Is this vanish just useless or does someone have any advice?

Thanks,

I posted a review of this some time ago and was quite disappointed with it. The change itself is excellent, but everything else (mainly clean up and angles) pretty much sucks. I tried it out but couldn't come up with a good way to clean up.

Yeah, it is such a cool change though I think i am willing to take some time and figure out a good way to clean up.

What do you think about fanning the cards just after you do the change? I can kind of do it and i think with a little practice it might be able to made to look natural.

Axis is another one of those that looks really good on video and tough to pull off live... But, as far as clean-up is concerned, you could change the card back to what it was originally if that will flow with the particular routine. Otherwise, I haven't figured out how to clean up either.. good luck!

the only practical way is to change it back.

You could get the card to the bottom easily then half pass it. The only reason you can see what is going on in the video is Dalal is clearly c*** (not the best) at it!! He couldnt half pass a single card if it was covered by a magazine!!

But anyway... the colour change in itself is not the best by a long shot.. I never use.. way too expensive and a great example of the overhyped tripe ellusionist put out monthly. Angles.. you need a 340 degree space just to work in!!

True true, I mean you could pick up a Jeff McBride dvd for a bit more and learn all manner of exciting manipulations plus a few equally nice looking and easier colour changes. The window change for example is delightful and though a tad angly less so than the axis change.

The artist who does not rise, descends.
