Hello all! I think I've discovered a treasure trove of information, community, and good times in the brief time I've spent looking at the forums here at TM. I figure it's time to stop looking in from the window and instead pull up a chair and join the discussions.

I'm a 25-year old guy who's been enjoying the art of magic for about a year and a half now. Cards and coins make up the majority of my magic cabinet, but I'm interested in branching out a bit into the other areas of close up magic...currently the cups and balls have my attention. I've been guilty (still am, I'm afraid) of the CUPS syndrome mentioned in many other posts, though I'm trying to buckle down and really LEARN from the many books and dvds I've accumulated over the past 15 months. While I appreciate the things to be done with gimmacks and gaffs, the world of sleight of hand appeals greatly to me. I hope to learn and share with all of you in the future. I'm sure it will be fun!

Yes, Moodini, that makes sense. Maybe for the University of Alaska in Anchorage. Thank you all for the warm welcome...I look forward to seeing you in the forums.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
