Pink. Flourescent pink.

And possibly slightly shiny.

Oh, and lashings of baby oil...

Seige wonders if this was an inappropriate posting - but dismisses the notion, as he's just painted rather a vivid picture which will prove beneficial for the male quota of the Forum. Where's the harm in that?

Siege - I think your theories are all pretty sound. I must confess to watching some of the program on monday and my thoughts there where
pretty much

a) was that really blaine? I mean he looked similar to the guy who did the street magic shows - but he also definitely looks a little different - so yes - my guess is the changes are for a swap at somepoint.

b) There are just so many ways he could have smuggled food supplements in that it isn't even worth considering that he isn't eating.

"Space Food" could be hidden in the supports in the box,
"Space Food" could be hidden in his clothes
"Space Food" could be hidden in his belongings
"Space Food" could be hidden in his false stomach (I blame yankee toms false skin for this :) )

and/or of course - the water could contain a glucose...

I suspect though tht 44 days is too long for him to be happy - so I agree with you that switches will be made.

I then thought about how he would do that - and then decided that I didn't really care. He will do it though, I'd put money on it that it happens.

Beats the hell out of me - somthing to do with food pills hidden in a window cleaner's swimwear, as far as I can make out.

Regarding, Blaine. I remeber the comments about the water? Could it contain glucose and other nutrients? How do we know it's just water. And if it is now how easy would it be to switch for some other kind of 'clear' fluid at a later date. Far easier than a body double switch I recon.

Apparently, glucose is a no-go. It actually accelerates the metabolism, which will make him hungrier still. A kind of 'catch 22'.

And I think that the MENTAL torture of 44 days in confinement and isolation is the issue, once we agree that he's eating 'Future Fodder'.

A switch is inevitable, in my opinion...

OK, here I go breaking my promise to not post again. I'm only doing this through gritted teeth - I find they get a better grip in ice and snow.

I haven't been able to resist the urge to tune in to Sky and see what he's up to each morning. In most cases the answer is nothing. Absolutely nothing at all. Sometimes writing. Sometimes waving. Sometimes fast asleep under the duvet.

I doubt it would be all that easy to do a switch for a double but I wouldn't rule out additives to the water and food concentrates secreted where someone under the duvet could get at them if required. Personally I think the guy is daft enough to just stay in there as long as he can. There's a good chance of some emergency occurring which will require him to come out early - a medical problem or something equally justifiable.

However, it's all very pointless. He's an untidy bloke - only a small area to live in and it's like a pigsty - and I really wouldn't want to be anywhere near him when does emerge. How bad can the BO be in there at this stage? How bad can it be after 44 days of wearing the same clothes? Excuse me, I've just put myself off my lunch!

The Blaine personality has just reminded me of an incident that happened to me once while performing at a street festival last summer.

I was performing with a whole host of jugglers, clowns, balloon modellers, stiltwalker, unicyclists, etc. when I spotted a young man all dressed in black with a black woolie hat and a David Gray beard. I watched him from a distance for a while as he pulled out a pack of cards and did some quick trick to some disinterested people. He then stood there with the trick climax with this strange look on his face as if he was trying to tie his eyebrows in a twist. (since this event I have seen more and more magicians adopt this 'look' of puzzled stupidity. Why do they think they need to copy this man's personality instead of his tricks?!?)

I went up to him and asked who booked him (as I had personally negotiated, and booked all the acts that day). He said no-one had and that he was just there by himself.

Very strange, and just completely annoying, as the festival organisers fely he was with us.

regards,
Valentino
