This is just a quick suggestion and encouragement to anyone out there still stubbornly refusing to get into using a TT...
I recently splashed out on
Doc Eason's Bar Magic 2, largely for the Bill in Lemon effect (rather than buy it as a stand alone effect, I might as well get some other stuff along with it!).
To cut a long story short, Doc uses a FT. I had previously thought "yeah right, if I feel uncomfortable with the idea of a TT, I'm
certainly not going to use one of those!". I kinda thought that FTs were just something made by Vernet to bulk out the range for real TT keenos. But still, I ordered a Vernet FT set (which is actually just two FTs and a variety of TTs).
How wrong I was! I've been grinning away using them in the mirror - they just suit my resting hand positions so much better, curling my fingers round naturally rather than having to hold my thumb behind my hand all the time. And of course, a huge plus - you can pull the wool on anyone who knows about TTs by having your thumbs in clear view at all times!
There will be stuff I still want to do with a TT such as cigarette burn in shirt, bill switch etc. but overall it is the FT that I'm going to focus on when vanishing bills, sugar etc.
I really recommend to anyone who has TT fear: buy some FTs, give them a go.
