The customer reviews on Penguin seem to indicate there may be a few down sides but on the whole it looks good. Very good. Will have to resist the impulse to order for while - I'm broke!

It's a great effect - although the Penguin demo dresses it up a tad with what I would personally call 'camera trickery'.
But if I told you how, I'd be breaking copyright.
Worth the pennies, though.

In the cold light of evening (?) I edited my post to be a little more mysterious.

I have recently purchased this , Have still to use it in anger. However the points made on the penguin site are very relevant as to it's failings. Saying that it is a very novel idea, which you would expect from Sankey.

At last Jay has put out a UK coin version, it's on the penguin/europe site, looks like I will have to get this one as well.

I can't find the UK version of Killer Key in Penguin Magic. Anyone know if it is there (or anywhere else) ?
Thanks.

You need to look at the UK Penguin site - the link is
http://www.penguinmagic.com/europe/product.php?ID=922 - but ignore the reference to the nickel as that's a typo from the US version. It would be nice to know which 'regular British Coin' is used as some folks in the US believe we still use the old pre decimal penny coins!

I have the UK 10p version from the Penguin UK site. I like it a lot and have performed with it as one of string of openers. It can be done really slowly as shown in the video, which is intruiging as there is no obvious sleight of hand being employed. A straightforward bit of work allows you to hand out the key and the 10p for inspection before the trick which adds to the effect.
Only downside is that you can't do it surrounded. You need to have your audience in front of you - even at the side doesn't work so well, so you need to plan out where you are going to use this.
Otherwise its a stunner.

I have the original Roy Baker effect that it is based on. I have used it for years, and years.
The coin is an old 5 pence, which is a perfect match to a new ten pence. Handy eh?
Oh, and you can do it surounded.
