Greetings from Kernow Magic and our renewed website

Postby kernowmagic » Apr 16th, '07, 02:01

Hello Everyone,

Not strictly new on here but due to holding down two jobs as well as my shop and website I haven't had much time to write for any forum.

Well in November 2006 I finally quit my day job much to the delight of the lady who runs my shop during the week days and have started performing again after a four year break as well as running... literally living in the shop (why go home when your surrounded by magic)

I have just finished revamping our website at www.kernowmagic.co.uk comments are welcome

Unlike some dealers I know, I actually have a passion for this fantastic art of ours and magic comes first even before profit (not that I give my stock away). I have been performing professionally on and off for the last 20 years having got into magic at an early age of 5 years after seeing David Nixon on the TV and subsequently getting a book of magic by Will Dexter for my following birthday.

Kernow Magic have just started a new club here in Cornwall as a branch of the prestigious SAM (Society of American Magicians), over the coming months we have lots of events taking place. Anyone is welcome to join SAM and thus also join our branch. PM me for further details.

I will from now on make a point of trying to write in here at least once a week even if it waffle

Talking of waffle I had better stop there, see you all in some form or another soon.

Kenny

Hello Kenny and welcome to TM.

This is a very interesting and good website.

But now I think the decent thing for you to do, is to take out an advert down here, as now you have promoted your website for free. You don't give away your stock, but if it wouldn't be for the nice people that buy links on the page, it wouldn't exist. When I first saw this website, there were 12 ads if I remember correctly, now they are 20 :)
This is merely my suggestion for you.

With warm greetings from Iceland!

Hi Kenny!

Love the website - categories all set out nicely, making it easier to browse and it's good you've got clips of some of the effects too

Nice work

Hi Kenny must say a vast improvement on the website. I have been to your site a few times but found it hard to come to terms with but now it looks a lot simpler to use so will be looking at it a bit more from now on and welcome to TM.

Hello lindz and Mattdini

Thank you for your comments.

It suprised me how quick I picked up the basics of html once I took my mind off magic for a week or two :)

I have noticed it still needs a few tweaks and we have lots more inventory than is available on the site and we could add some competitions and and and Ill never be satisified lol

Hello Kenny,

Lovely site. Funnily enough I nearly ordered Psychological Subtelties from you a few weeks ago as yours was the only site that said it was in stock. Now it's not!
I will definitley be buying some stuff from you soon.

Hello Lord Freddie

A quick heads up for everyone on Psychological Subtelties. It is out of print at the moment but ignore anyone who says this is permenent.

Psychological Subtelties will be reprinted very soon, it is being reformated to make it look like the follow up book PS2 and the eventual release of PS3. The publishers want the collection to "look good" on your shelf.
The content of the reformated reprint will be exactly the same as the original so the present owners of the first book dont need to purchase the reformat unless they want a neat and tidy bookshelf.

Hope this helps anyone else who might want the first book.
