I like to use the fingers of hand that the cards are being placed into to pull the cards across as much as I can. That way if there is a slight separation the it will be hidden under the card above.

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

Once you've bought one, with a bit of trial and error it's fairly easy to make your own and get it exactly how you like it.

now... is it acceptable to make up your own ID decks? some people seem to frown upon you watching someone perform a trick, knowing how to do it, then replicating it without having paid for it.
and i remember a while back someone got a semi-linching for asking about making his own deck for "in a flash". where does one draw the line?

on that note, I'm happy to supply notes for making either my production deck or an oracle/oracle2 deck for a minimal fee

I would strongly advise making your own ID - so many people have had the same problem.

I don't think it's "magically unethical" at all because as far as I know, it was not specifically invented and marketed by one person in particular... if it was, they're not making much effort to make that known! Invisible Decks seem to be a bit of a cash cow for shops, ie. if a shop is well enough established and has the overheads it will simply make it's own and sell them as a generic product, much like a haunted matchbox or svengali deck. Whilst I appreciate a good magic shop doing things well, I feel no ethical compulsion to line their pockets.

First things first! :D

The ID was created by Eddie Fields; I do not know of him (and I may be wrong on this one) exclusively limiting it to one dealer, and as such it has been picked up and made time and time again by many. It's in the public domain, and chances are if you buy one Eddie (or his estate) isn't going to see a penny of it.

In A Flash, however, is a marketed effect with marketing rights held by one person - the creator. There is clearly a difference in that making your own up instead of buying it is going to hurt Jay more than it would Eddie with his ID.

That is all I have to say on the matter .

I buy mine because I find it easier than making up my own. But I prefer the BW deck anyway.

(For anyone who does want to honour Eddie, check out his booklet 'Invisible Secrets Revealed')
