I think the thing your looking for, used to be available from joke shops. it was a glass tube 'like a stink bomb' with 2 parts so when it broke the chemicals mixed and produced smoke. As far as I'm aware these havnt been around for years. Maybe due to 'national security' all these kinda things were taken off the shelfs. The next trade show I'm at i''ll ask around for you. :)

don't know if discussing this kind of thing should be left to the restricted area.
considering the dangers involved,

the fact that flash paper and powder shouldn't be sold to under 18s due to the dangers with it seems to have been lost, frankly if you looking to try and make this stuff you really should think about where your going to use it and if your prepaired to get hurt in the process this kinda thing isn't for kids to use at school to impress their mates, professional magicians wouldn't touch this stuff if they didn't need to so think first.

I was eight when he was making them and one day he threw one down three feet in front of me. Scared the absolute s*** out of me, but he ended up getting what he deserved. The last time he did it, the smoke bomb somehow got stuck to his hand (I don't know how it happened, maybe he had gum on it). Anyway, it blew up in his hand. Luckily it was pretty weak so all he got was a really bad chemical burn. He still has the scar. Anyway, the point of the story is, I wouldn't reccommend anyone to make them unless they're being made by someone who knows alot about chemistry. I don't think I'll ever make them.

The sugar in the mix causes the stickiness, and they do burn at a very high temperature, must had first degree burns, nasty.
