Oracle 2

Postby Lawrence » Apr 22nd, '07, 13:30

so, one day i was sat around with an ID; being irritated at not being able to give a proper show of the rest of the deck, and trying to remember the damn system too (which i know isn't a hard one, but i forget things sometimes). So i set about trying to make something i saw as being better, and a few weeks later i've come up with this

The Oracle 2 deck
http://media.putfile.com/Oracle2

any card can be named, and the card can be removed from the deck and handled by Mr Speccy.

befor anyone asks, yes it could have something actually written on the back of the card rather than a boring cross, but the simple cross allows me to move into a couple of other tricks with the deck easily (and makes a lot more sense when you do) than if it had anything complex on the back.
There was an oracle 1 deck with was essentially the same trick but the card couldn't be merely thought of, and while it did work quite well (and gave me some nice ideas for other tricks to do with it) it wasn't quite what i was after. so the oracle2 deck is (at the moment) the finished product, and can also do everything an oracle one deck can do; which is: pretty much the same trick but with and card taken from a spread. also do tricks where the crosses appear and disappear apparently at the choosing/discarding of the cards. and a few others....

do to time constraints and me being a poor ass bu**er at the moment i'll say £30
it will come with everything you need and instructions for all the tricks i do with it though. and can come customised if you wish, but this could lead to you not being able to do some of the tricks i've written down.

...i may have to go buy some stock if people actually want to buy it.

i prefer memento to i.d. - more of a personal feel and creates a better reaction; confused at that

if you do take this further... :D

Why not just write out some instructions as a PDF so people can make their own, then sell it for a Fiver or something?

Stick it up on Lulu as an instant download and you could be earning £££££s in hours.

in the 60s, my uncle tried sticking it up on lulu, but she said no...

anway, go for it...tout it round the shops...they can only say no, and if they do, well, release it yourself as the rest have said...

ok, i've drafted up a PDF for "Oracle DIY" that tells you how to make an oracle 1 deck, and oracle 2 deck, all he tricks i do with them plus ideas on some more tricks. and the 101* ways the oracle deck could be put together to best suit your own presentational style. including the sealed deck oracle (ooooo). i think i'll throw my production deck in there too

probably £8ish

if anyone is interested let me know. or i'll see about taking Mr Tomo's advice

Just be aware that 'memento' only costs £9.99, and includes the deck and routine instruction. And the x-deck by david forrest, which is the same as oracle, costs £14.99.
