I bought the ESP deck and received it a few days ago. One of the black backed cards is damaged, in that it has significant white marks on the black surface. I cant obviously use it as its very noticeable.

Do you think it matters as its just one card?? I emailed magicbox on Monday but I got no reply..

Its just that I have an incomplete deck as you cant perform these kind of effects when its so obvious when a card is marked like that..

and no.. the white spots are not part of the marking system

when I'm out and about, in the fracture clinic, or having a coffee i'll get out my deck and go throught the stack and read the backs and check the fronts, i take my time as if trying to get a mental picture of the card.

so far i have given out around 20 business cards this way without even needing to go for the hard sell.

One of my cards was damaged when I recieved mine. I rang magicbox and they sent out not only a replacement, but also a spare replacement as well.
I have found magicbox to be excellent whenever dealing with them, and cant imagine you having any problems if you call them.
My girlfriend always uses magicbox when buying me presents as the customer service has been great, especially with her being a muggle.

You really do need all the cards, Dont give up on Magicbox. I have always found them very reliable. Send them another email or failing that give them a ring!

Yes, the whole point is that the back is perfectly black, so keep calling to get a new one. It is a really great deck.

I checked my deck and they were all pitch black on the back.
I think you will have no problem sorting this out with Magicbox, they where really helpful when I needed to sort something out once.

Not to cause offense ID matety bloke but i dont think you have the presontational skills just yet for Beyond ESP2.

But to the point of the card be damaged then yeah it matters its spose to be a non marked deck so if it has a great big mark on the back the spec thinks ah "He knows what that os because of the great big mark on the back" when this is not the case at all.

When I do a drawring dupe on my business cards all the cards are identical. Because I know one slightly frayed edge or bend then the spec thinks i am not using Suggestion and the likes but something a magician would use.

However.. Maybe not, thats why I have bought a load of inormation on ESP that I can read up on, then I can study the routines in the booklet and other DVD's that I have bought, then I can adapt them to my own style, or better still, create a new style that works for this... before I attempt to perform it.

Most of the things I buy go straight into the drawer, and then get prioritised in the order in which I choose to learn.. I wont be performing with the ESP for a while yet..

But at least I have it in my posession so I have more time to delve into the weird and wonderful world of mentalism which is where Im hoping to end up.. eventually

I can highly recommend Alan Strydom's Simple ESP Readings (SERS). It is really great and fits well with beyond ESP II.

I ve been thinking of incorperating Beyond esp2 with Looch's esp routine "wake up Dr Rhine"

Then again "wake up Dr Rhine" can also be done on the back of business cards too.

But some of the routines in Beyond ESP2 could work well with WUDR.

Now that I have a new deck Ill try that. I was just afraid of making it worse... theres some great ideas in the accompanying booklet.. 3SP is a great routine and with the right presentation will be really efffective!!
