Hi, my name is David and I have been practising magic for about 5 months now, with it turning into a *bit* of an obsession. I read Derren Brown's Tricks of the Mind and I learnt the card trick in that. I showed it to my friend who is a magician and he said 'hmmmm, you want to learn some more?' I believe the words 'hell yeah' were my reply. Anyway, I have made my way through the royal road in card magic and have started coin vanishes and productions. Did my first torn and restored card effect yesterday (after hours of practising patter in front of the mirror, im not vain, honestly). The lady actually kept the card as a souvenir at the end!

By the way, get yourself a brainwave deck. Google for it. It has served me well for over 12 years

Also, look into something known as a tt. Ask a fellow magician what I mean.
