look out, pregnant woman coming through!!!

Postby magicmonkey » May 10th, '07, 19:28

Well, I am nearly speechless so will get this out while I can....

I found out a month ago that my lovely girlfriend is pregnant.

Yup, that's right we're having a baby, there's another little monkey on the way.

Well, that's what I thought until yesterday.

We both waited until the first scan to tell people as that is when we were to find out that all is as it should be.

It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen, our baby growing, waving at the camera....

then....
more movement.......

THERE WERE TWO IN THERE!!!!!!!!!!!

yes that's right, twins. Two minimagicmonkeys being nurtured by my good lady.

This is a family show, so cannot repeat what I said at the time, but I'm sure you can figure out the drift of it. The first rhymed with duck in shell, the rest I shouldn't even hint at.

I am totally dazed by it all, this hit me harder than when I found out she was pregnant. Both of us in fact.

The midwife was trying to tell us what to do next and where to go to book up and we both missed it completely the first time, we were in a world of our own. We had gone from baby to babies in the blink of an eye.

Oh well, time to grow up I guess. It's been a long time coming

I can't work out whether I'm petrified or happy as larry.....bit of both I think, maybe larryfied will suffice

I'm gonna be a parent....TWICE!!! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Many, many congratulations bud, to both you and your gf (also, you have my sympathy for your forthcoming lack of sleep!!).

But - it's *wonderful* being a dad, and I'm sure you're gonna' love every minute of it (apart from the scant-few minutes, when you ask yourself what the hell you were thinking!! )

I wish you all the very best luck in the world - please keep us informed of how things are going....I'm drinking a rather nice Martini , at this moment - guess who I'm raising my glass to, as I type?! :D

guys, I posted this only moments ago and kind words already, many thanks.

hmmmm, Rob...do I have to wait until they are born to "wet the baby's head", and seeing as strictly speaking I would be more accurate in wetting the babies head's, do I have to drink double?

I could just imagine you standing over the two cribs with a fan of cards in each hand. "Pick a card, any card."

Congratulations mate well done. I heard twins are the worst maybe you could put one up on E-bay  Personally instead of drinking double you have got the excuse of going out twice. Enjoy it.
