Hot enough for ya?

Postby monker59 » May 10th, '07, 20:15

Whew, man, am I burnt out! It was just around the eighties today while I was in school and unfortunatley, all the heaters in my high school are permanately set to "high" . But now I am chillaxin in my room in my boxer-briefs and my robe, posting at TM, listening to the radio, eating fruit sorbet, and blasting my fan. Man, if it wasn't for my AP United States History Exam tomorrow, I'd be completely relaxed  . Anyways, I just had to get this off my chest. Any comments, whether they be related to this or not, are fine with me.

It rained today. It's grey. It's cold. It's England.

We've had some lovely weather round here recently... but now it's gone and the rain's here . Here's hoping it's gone soon though, lots of garden parties coming up!

There's nothing like getting in from a sweltering day, putting on a fan and just relaxing is there :D

(And the ironic thing is, here's me listening to Lovin' Spoonful's 'Summer In the City')

If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

It's true the weather has been really nice up until a few days ago. When it hit May it started getting worse. I wish I was in America though, I live for heat!

I wish I liked hot weather as I'm constantly arguing with my office mate about the temperature; he'll be sitting shivering in a fleece with the radiator on and I'll be sweating in a t-shirt and wanting the window open.

I'm quite glad it's gone grey again, at least it means I can do a bit of exercise without dying of heat exhaustion.

I'm with Nickj on this one, Being of Celtic stock my constitution is geared up for grey clouds and lovely rain...especially that fine rain that soaks you through.
If its cold you can always add more layers but in the summer heat once you are down to shorts and t-shirts you're buggered. Unless you go au naturelle and risk burning your tinkle

I'm a little bit mixed up in the weather I prefer. Like you, greedoniz, I'm Irish, but only half. The other half of me is Italian. There's a mixture! Half cold and rainy in the Atlantic, the other half sunny and warm in the Mediterranean. It gets confusing.

summer is rubbish...apart from the fact that you get to see lots of pretty women suddenly appear and you can go drinking in beer-gardens..

i'd prefer it if we were permanently in the winter/spring cross over...cool and brisk...lovely...sweating like a demon on the tube isnt nice...and alot of people on it appear to not appreciate deodorant or indeed, soap...

You have a massive point there with the beer garden and the magnificent shipping in of attractive women from their winter hibernation.

On the celtic front I feel it is only right to correct the irish thing...celtic yes..irish no. I'm originally from that strange little country with a penchant for male voiced choirs, cheese on toast and coal miners.

oh I can't wait for the summer. Lazy afternoons sat in the garden with a Pimms and on a beach somewhere. Out windsurfing in a shortie instead of a horrible winter wetsuit.

oh come on those hot summer days :D

I know what you mean, Lady of Mystery, I love the beach. I live literally half a mile from the beach and I love to go swimming in the bay (the ocean's too cold for me). Last year I was seriously in danger, though. I was swimming in the bay when I noticed a bunch of bluefish swimming around me. For those of you who don't know what bluefish are, they are fish that only are very territorial and their teeth can bite a finger right off! Luckily, I managed to make it back to the shore without losing any appendages.
