Need help on card to pocket trick...

Postby a0b9c8 » May 14th, '07, 13:56

Hey guys, im new here, so if this is the wrong place to post this, please tell me right away and ill delete my post...

Anyway.. Im having trouble with my card to pocket trick... I only have one method of getting the card into my pocket and the spectators can easily spot how... (out of my 13 performances of this trick, 7 people have seen me do it).. Any suggestions on other types of method to get a chosen, signed card into a pocket? And if its ok, can you suggest methods on how to put the chosen/signed card in the SPECTATORS pocket?? Much appreciatied...

Thanks
- Mike

Have a look in Royal Road to Card Magic, I'm pretty sure there's a method in there.

maybe if you told us which version of the trick you're doing we could then suggest an alternative.
I'm going to suggest Pot Of Jam again, there's a nice card to pocket bit on that.

Custom R&S decks made to specification - PM me for details

I second the still fancy a pot of jam recommendation. I'm loving that DVD at the minute, it has a great card to pocket and card to spec's pocket. Also a deck vanish that ends up in your pocket.

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

Here's the answers/advice:

1. Buy a decent card magic text book
2. Buy a decent card magic DVD which outlines the effect
3. Spend less time gathering statistical information (such as 7 times out of 33) about effects and perform better
4. Please don't ask us to give you suggestions on routines. It's not going to happen.

I say go with Royal Road to Card Magic and find what you're looking for in there. I haven't read/watched Pot of Jam, though, so that could be a better source.
