Having briefed the BBC over about 15 e mails on the history of Ellisdons, the producer asked if I'd go down to London and interview on the origins of the 'Mucky Pup' joke and in particular the phrase Mucky Pup, which they want to get into the Oxford English Dictionary. I didn't have the time but suggested he contact Penny 'Ellisdon' & her husband David( who was a director of the firm in its latter days) and as they lived in Northern France they would be better to talk to about E & S.
Well they are on tonight: 18th. May 2007. BBC 2. 10pm Balderdash & Piffle. Repeated on Monday 21st. May.
Don't know how long they on for but knowing the TV folk, it won't be too long.
