Actually, we're probably more in agreement than you'd think. Not perfectly, but that's ok :-)

Whilst it may be an idea to make the Restricted Areas invisible, we do at least have stickies and announcements about them with a fair idea of the processes involved in connection with offering invitations. There's also the aspect of showing something, a goal if you like, which can be attained by contributing and being a relatively long term member. As most of the Mods will verify, we get a lot of new arrivals sending PMs asking to be admitted from day one and being rather insulting when we have to say no and explain the process to them. A reasonable period of membership and overall impression of quality posts is really what counts.

Oooo... I guess that crushed a few toes...

No, you didn't. You made yourself a straw-man argument and torched it (again). What you choose not to accept is that most of the people here have the wherewithal to reach their own reasoned and considered opinions. To decide that the only reason people take an opposing view to you is because they're weak enough to simply regurgitate opnions they've heard from elsewhere is the height of arrogance (no surprise there) and most insulting.

I'm not 15-25, and I'll never claim to be an NLP expert and I believe that if you present yourself as a psychic you are misleading the public. If you want to have a proper debate on the subject then I'd enjoy that. If you think you're going to hand out a 'verbal castration' (Jesus wept...) to some imaginary weak target that you've constructed in your own head for the purposes of measuring against your ego so you can find it wanting...think again.

What you call heroism is just an expression of this fact; there is never a scarcity of idiots
